After Suffering A DVT In 2011 Serena Williams Strikes Olympic Gold

After A Not Always Smooth Recovery from a DVT and PE Serena Williams Gets The Gold

Following her comeback in Wimbledon Serena Williams once again showed that she is on top of her game when she defeated Russian contender Maria Sharapova for the gold medal in the women’s singles final at the 2012 London Olympic Games.

After a dramatic and unexpected loss at the French Open in May of 2012 Serena took her 5th Wimbledon singles title. Many suspected this may have been a fluke.  Obviously now after her dream come true Olympic gold medal she has made it clear – Serena Williams is definitely back.
