  • I was suffering from leg pain and frequent heavy leg symptoms when on my feet a lot. When my doctor recommended compression stockings I was not thrilled with the concept. Once I tried them, I was quickly sold on them, however. I have been wearing 30-40, thigh length stockings daily for over six months, from when I wake up to going to bed. At first I thought occasional use would be ok, but soon learned that daily, consistent use is best. Now I'm so accustomed to wearing compression stockings, it feels strange to be without them.

I, too, found Ames-Walker to have excellent products. My message to other men...get over the stigma of wearing stockings...the relief they can offer is outstanding.

    • Thank you very much for your testimonial on this important issue. Men need to get over their fear of wearing compression stockings or support pantyhose. We need more brave guys like you that are not afraid to talk about their experiences on this subject.

  • I think this was among the most important information for me. I was so glad reading your articles. Cheers.

  • I have found Juzo Soft to be the perfect fit for me. I wear their 30-40 pantyhose everyday and have for over 3 years. I have the thigh highs as well, but prefer the pantyhose because it helps with the varicose vein problem I have in my groin as well. However, I would probably wear them anyway because they stay up so well. They are not really that hot in the summer, especially if you wear them under lighter weight pants. I never wear them with shorts, therefore, I never wear shorts. They are expensive, but to worth it because I actually forget I am wearing them during day.

  • Go to Ames Walker they have compression hosiery at very affordable prices. That’s where I’ve been purchasing mine for 8 years. In my opinion their product line far out performs brands like Juzo, Sigvaris, Medivan, etc. I’ve tried most every brand available and nothing has come close to their products.
Needless to say I highly recommend.

  • Embarassed By My Leg

When I became pregnant with my daughter, I was busy. I was working a physically demanding job 20-30 hours a week as well as finishing my last year of a BSc in Nursing - requiring me to do 24-36 hours per week of a clinical rotation.

Partway through the pregnancy, I began to develop varicose veins in my left leg. The first ones didn’t look bad and didn’t hurt.

Then they began to get worse.
