Are Intelligent Cellulite Fighting Emana® Yarns Revolutionizing Hosiery?

March 1, 2013 Gregory 3 Comments

A relatively new and innovative fiber known under the trade name Emana® may hold the power to transform women’s bodies and the hosiery industry alike.

Cellulite has long been the bane of many women and often it seems to pop up out of nowhere.  Worse yet, it does not discriminate by age and can afflict anybody from teenagers to individuals of more advanced ages.

Cellulite is often wrongly thought of by many as a condition that mainly affects overweight and obese people.  Unfortunately, the orange peel skin texture is just as happy to strike if you are skinny.

If you are battling cellulite new hope is coming from an unexpected source – anti-cellulite compression stockings and support pantyhose.

Here Are Some Examples Of These Ground Breaking Hosiery Products For Cellulite Control:

Sigvaris – A renowned force in the compression hosiery market manufactures anti-cellulite compression stockings.   Traditional compression therapy combines with the advantages of intelligent polyamide Emana® yarn.

Charnos – A well-known manufacturer of hosiery products is enlisting the power of the highly advanced Emana® yarn.  They have come to market with a revolutionary product line of support hosiery and cellulite busting tights fittingly named the “Killer Figure” hosiery range.

Solidea – A manufacturer of glamour compression hosiery also harnesses the unique qualities of a special yarn.  This yarn converts the thermal energy of the human body into FIR (Far Infrared Rays), which works effectively against the formation of cellulite.

MyShapesUK – Offers fashionable tights and leggings that incorporate the intelligent Emana® fiber, which has been clinically certified to counteract skin flaws caused by cellulite.

How Do these Emana® Support Tights, Leggings, and Compression Stockings Work their Magic on Your Legs?

The key element is the Emana® yarn. These smart fibers make it possible to produce compression and support hosiery that facilitates strong interaction between the fabric and the human skin.

The Emana® fibers incorporate bioactive crystals in their polymer structure.  Emana® absorbs the waves emitted by the human body and sends them back in the shape of “Far Infrared Rays” (FIR) waves.  The resulting benefit is stimulated blood microcirculation and improved cell metabolism after the garment has been in contact with the skin for more than six hours.

Far Infrared Rays (FIR) are electromagnetic waves that cannot be seen with the naked eye. They are characterized by low energy and penetration that does not cause any damage to organic tissue.  The FIR waves are stimulated through strong interaction with the water molecules that make up 70% of the human body.

Hosiery or Leggings knitted with Emana® fiber have shown the following visual cosmetic benefits:

  • Significant reduction of the appearance of cellulite (11% or more)
  • Improved smoothness and elasticity of the skin (8% or more)
  • Increased collagen synthesis, which can make your skin look healthier and younger (9% or more)

In addition, athletic garments made of Emana® yarns such as the seamless brand “Doubleskin” from company Cifra claim impressive benefits.  Examples of such benefits are a reduction in the accumulation of lactic acid as high as 33% and an improvement of thermoregulation by 51%.

To achieve the stated results, the Emana® must be worn continuously for at least 6 hours a day and for a successive period of 60 days.

Emana® has been certified class I under the OEKO-TEX Standard 100, showing that no harmful substances are present in the product.

Emana® is a registered trademark of Rhodia, which is a member of the Solvay Group
